The content articles I have picked all involve metaphorical prescription drugs and habits in vampire media. The in class document I have picked is titled Not to Be Toyed With': Drug Addiction, Bullying and Self-empowerment in Buffy the vampire Slayer by Deceive Cover and it entails the imaginary character, Willow, and her addiction to magic. The article stocks several commonalities with the expert reviewed content Battling Addictive problems in Dracula by Kristina Aikens, and "[I]s that dangerous? ” Alternative blood pressure measurements of " drugs” and " addiction” in Buffy the Vampire Slayer simply by Jo Latham. All three content explain the drug references in goule media although with different factors and understanding. They quickly explain what an craving is and how it is applicable to that particular subject matter. But two articles specifically, Not to Always be Toyed With and "[I]s it dangerous? ” equally mention the negative areas of peer pressure and lovato and what effect it could have on someone's mind specifically around the character Willow. Both articles explain how Willow's wonderful curiosity began to manifest in something deeper through time. The more the girl used magic, the more she relied into it and the more she started to be reluctant to regulate herself. She also began to display signs of an addiction, which includes withdrawal. The articles differ from Not to Be Toyed Within the sense that they explain drug work with using different examples. "[I]s it harmful? ” needs a more thorough look in how Willow's addiction causes her to become more compulsive, and just how her friendships begin to fall apart the more your woman hurts other folks with her magic. The article states that " The show succeeds in depicting drug make use of and its consequences as a complicated web of dynamic intra-action between personal agency and structural varieties of social restraints.
